"Picture Perfect Wannabe"

I could tell you about my day but that would be boring.
It was un-amazing. It was funny and fun. It's stuff that honestly doesn't need to be published for others to read.

I suppose blogging is like a public journal. It just seems like such a waste just to write about a day. Who wants to read that? Sure your friends do, maybe, possibly. Why waste cyberspace though?

Today I will bitch though because I feel particularly bitchy.

I really hate Panic at the Disco at the moment. They are so damn catchy yet supremely annoying sort of like "Dirty Little Secret" by All-American Rejects. Except Panic are worse. I have been listening to The Beatles ever since I was 3 (or 4, I can't quite separate memories from those ages). I don't get how Panic can BLATANTLY rip off some of the greatest Beatles tunes and get away with it. It angers me so much. The people let them off the hook. Obviously they haven't listened to more Beatles then "Yellow Submarine" or what's in "Across The Universe" (I still take issue with the lead girl's name being Lucy) if at all!
I know, many bands use similar chord progressions and try to emulate sounds of their favorite bands. This has been going on forever. Look at Mozart! EVERYONE wanted to copy him. How can anyone blame them though. He was highly successful.
I feel like I've been born in the wrong time. Nothing progressive is happening in music. How can anything more progressive happen with music after the 80's? It's POST EVERYTHING now. Yes there is a progression of marketing music and putting your band out there but nothing to the MUSIC. I hate the way music is so much about money now. What happened to when bands and people just wanted to hear something great happen? What happened to people just coming together and jamming in a garage?

Why are people so obsessed with "making it". What the hell is "making it" anyway? Is it 3 million copies of your record selling? Is it selling out an arena tour? Is it just making enough money to fill your gas tank and stomach so you and your friends can continue to try and change lives?

We need a revolution. Look at how we show distaste of a person place or thing! We "unfriend" them or "digg up/down" the fucker! Oh yeah! That'll show them! We are so afraid of offending someone. I think that's offensive. If you try and please everyone, you'll please no one. Someone is always going to be offended. That's life.

I'm done ranting.

You pretty much stole the words out of mouth, about what you have to say about music. ^^ You have a great blog, and I agree a lot with your opinions. ^^ And everybody has to rant at times, it's basically how people keep sane. Lol. Hit me back sometime!
